What is spam call blocking?

Spam call blocking stops calls from numbers you choose before they ring your team. In Nimbata you add a caller ID to your blocked list, for one project or your whole account, and every call from it is rejected. It's logged as Blocked, so you can still see it, but it never rings a phone and isn't sent on to your CRM or ad platforms.

Block a number from the call itself, from your blocked list, or automatically with a workflow when a call is tagged as spam.

How does spam call blocking work?

Block a number once, and its calls stop ringing.

  1. Block the number

Open the call and choose Block, or add the number under Call handling > Blocked Callers. Pick this project or all of them.

    1Block

  2. It never rings

The next call from that number is rejected before it reaches anyone on your team.

  3. It's logged as Blocked

The call stays in your call log with the outcome Blocked, so you can see it, and it isn't sent to your CRM or ad platforms.

Spam stays out of your team's day

Every blocked caller, gone from your phones and your tools.

  • One project or every project

Block a number in the project it called, or across your whole account at once. Blocking everywhere needs access to every project.

  • Clean up past calls

Delete a number's earlier calls as you block it in a project, so old spam leaves your reports too.

  • Block anonymous callers

Add anonymous as a caller ID, and calls that hide their number are rejected too.

  • Block spam automatically

Add the Add to Spam Filter step to a workflow, and a call your rules or AI tag as spam blocks its caller, in the project or your whole account.

  • Your tools stay clean

Blocked calls aren't sent to your integrations, so robocalls never become leads in your CRM or conversions in your ad platforms.

  • Share your list

Copy blocked numbers to another project in a few clicks, so a new client starts with the spam you already know.

What reached your team, and what didn't

Real callers ring through. Blocked numbers are rejected and logged, out of everyone's way.

From one spam call to never again

Block it once and it's handled.

  1. The first call

    A spam call comes in

Your team answers it once, or AI tags it as spam.

  2. Moments later

    The number is blocked

From the call, or by a workflow that adds it to your blocked list.

  3. Every call after

    It never rings again

The number is rejected before it rings and logged as Blocked.

Without blocking vs spam call blocking

Spam costs your team time and fills your tools. Blocking stops both.

Frequently asked questions

How do I block a spam call in Nimbata?

Open the call and choose Block, or go to Call handling > Blocked Callers and add the number. You can block it in the project it called or in every project in your account.

What happens when a blocked number calls?

The call is rejected before it rings anyone on your team. It's logged in your call log with the outcome Blocked and the hangup cause Spam Filter, and it isn't sent to your integrations.

Do blocked calls show in my reports?

Yes, as Blocked, so you always know what was stopped. Filter by outcome or hangup cause to leave them out, and delete a number's earlier calls when you block it in a project.

Can I block anonymous or hidden numbers?

Yes. Add anonymous as the caller ID, and calls that hide their number are rejected.

Can I block a whole area code or prefix?

The blocked list takes exact numbers. To turn away callers by prefix, add a Caller ID Prefix step to your call flow that hangs up on the prefixes you choose, on the Marketing and Agency plans.

Can spam be blocked automatically?

Yes. A workflow's Add to Spam Filter step blocks the caller, in the project or in every project, for example when a call is tagged as spam.

Can I use the same list for several projects?

Block a number in all projects at once, or select numbers on your blocked list and copy them to another project.

Which plans include spam call blocking?

Every plan. Blocking automatically with a workflow needs a plan with workflows, from Pro.
